The Terra Alta wine region is situated in the province of Tarragona and covers an area of 6,500 hectares. The Terra Alta wine region consists of 33 vineyards (Bodegas), which produce 12.5 millon liter of wine annually.

Vine varieties
Red:
Cabernet Sauvignon, Cariñena, Garnacha Tinta, Garnacha Peluda, Syrah, Merlot, Samsó, Cabernet Franc and Tempranillo.

White:
Chardonnay, Garnacha Blanca, Parellada, Sauvignon Blanc, Chenin, Pedro Ximénez and Macabeo.
