Spain - Wine regions and their wine

The Penedés wine region is situated in the province of Barcelona and covers an area of 26,000 hectares. The Penedés wine region consists of 185 vineyards (Bodegas), which produce 168 millon liter of wine annually.

Vine varieties
Red:
Garnacha, Merlot, Ull de Llebre (Tempranillo), Pinot Noir, Monastrell, Cariñena, Cabernet Savignon and Syrah.

White:
Macabeo, Xarel.lo, Parellada, Chardonnay, Riesling, Gewürztraminer, Chenin Blanc and Moscatel de Alejandría.
